Full Time Sales Consultant

We are looking for a highly motivated sales consultant to join our friendly team.  The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dedicated and hardworking, and thrive on going the extra mile to provide outstanding customer service.


It is a permanent position well suited to an individual looking to advance their career in retail and the jewellery industry.



Ideal Candidate


As a sales consultant you will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service.  You will have strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication skills and a methodical approach to tasks.


We are looking for a person who knows the importance of listening to customers as well as understanding their needs to not only help find the perfect product but also provide a memorable customer experience.


You will be dedicated, hardworking and have a confident approach to building rapport and forging exceptional client relationships.


Ideally you would have had experience of customer facing sales environments.  A knowledge of the industry is advantageous but not essential; as long as you have a passion for jewellery, a good work ethic, enthusiasm and can work well as an individual and as part of a team.



Roles and Responsibilities


With a strong focus on the customer experience, the role will be to provide excellent service to our customers.  You will be assisting customers with their enquiries in a professional manner whilst building strong customer relationships.


As a sales consultant you will ensure the smooth running of tasks relating to omnichannel sales, the customer’s journey, order process and after sales care, as well as general administration relating to sales.


You will be displaying and presenting product in a manner that shows an appreciation of each item and what makes them special.

Payne & Son, ‘Oxford’s oldest jewellers’, was founded in 1790 and is run by the 8th generation of the Payne family.  We started trading in Oxford in January 1889 and have been at 131 High Street ever since.
